It's impossible to recreate the excitement, the joy, or the presence they had. You would have to make the movie about something else in order to define them.
Case in point: the great "Amadeus". That was a film about genius vs. mediocrity. Mozart and Salieri were tools for making a point. But it also gave us an honest slice of who they were. Insight is not optional.
