An Assassin's Prayer
She knew from the beginning her marriage was a trap - but, oh, what a wonderful trap! But she found the dying of her dreams too high a price to pay. So she prayed to meet The One.
But she was afraid to commit to The One - then the window of opportunity shut. Yet she was left with lingering feelings that threatened her.
"I can't lose my dreams AND my marriage!"
So periodically she sent assassins to kill her savior to keep secret the failure of her life.
It's a plan.
