So I saw another Bond film rumor. Sigh. Let him rest in peace. When they stripped him of his self-respect in the Craig reboot, it wasn't just a cinematic death he suffered.
Only way forward would be to have Bond regain his self-respect in a world that's battling against that. The battle going on now is to make having a lack of self-respect respectable (e.g. sane-washing).
Plot-wise, it just won't do to have Bond go after state-less actors. It simply ignores the daily committing of war crimes.
