The Memory Police: A Book Review
If someone jumps off a cliff then proceeds to write about the fall on the way down to their eventual demise my reaction is always going to be: Why did you jump? That's the real story.
In this book we have an interesting "boiling frog" world where things disappear from memory (enforced by said police) bit by bit as their existence slowly decays. Everyone is resigned to accepting it.
But there is no resolution or backstory, it all disappears in the end. Why?
