My take on "The Outrun" by nora_fingscheidt. It's the story of Rona who's only happy when she drinks causing her life to spiral out of control. She takes respite on the family farm in the Scottish isles.
There's an amazing amount of editing done to convey the non-linear journey to sobriety.
The film conveniently overlooks the issue of money. It's also a very female journey. A male in isolation simply lives in torture.
So in the end I'm saying, "That's nice for Rona. But what about me?"
