Amitai was not an average man, for he took care to be honest in all things, as he was when he met an anxious fellow who told him of his plan.
“Clever, Judas. Very clever. But will it get you what you want?"
“What! Of course! This will keep Jesus safe.”
“But you abandon your true belief.”
“I’m sacrificing myself to show my love.”
“Better to walk away forever.”
“I can’t. Only time I feel good is with Jesus.”
“What you do is not love. And nothing exists outside of love.”
“There HAS to be!”
