My back pocket was empty.I was talking to Fiona at the art gallery, the girl with the interesting mouth. The more she talked the more of her time I wanted.

I discreetly checked my person, panicking while trying to please.

This is just like when I was wallet-less at the restaurant.

Done it again, the eternal fool.

In a fit of negativity, I'd left my love back at the house.

The story of #Napoleon is more Michael Corleone than Alexander the Great.

France was in shambles after the revolution and the surrounding monarchies sought to destroy her. Their fury cannot be overstated.

But Napoleon became corrupted in France's defense. "Power is my mistress."

The revolution failed, it too corrupted by power. That which was done in the name of freedom was a king by any other name.

There's a hell of a story to be told here of betrayed ideals that can be related to modern times.

There’s this director Diddly Squat who is like MORAL LEADER OF THE UNIVERSE who takes Napoleon DOWN!

So this French guy you think is somebody is really NOBODY! Who knew??

And when he does Josephine in butt, thought I was gonna cry! I was like, “This is so REAL!”

Turns out this nobody was really BAD GUY cause if he not born there be no war and NO ONE get killed!

I worships at feet of this great director man for being GUIDING LIGHT of our time!

America loves a good mass shooting! (If we didn't we'd do something to stop them)

When we say, "Women and children first" it refers to the order of shooting! Patton says we do this because we love to win. Bully for us!

But truth is we're just plain ol' pissed! And the reason we're pissed is because we're SICK TO DEATH of being blackmailed by money. Shame there's no other way to live! Die, bitches, die!

My friend could not get over the Israeli woman kidnapped, murdered, and dragged through the streets.

"I'm too bothered to think of anything else!"

Then I told her of 19,000 children kidnapped, massive rapes and murders, and wholesale looting - but this was in Ukraine.

"Oh, what can we do there? I just can't get over that poor woman in the streets."

"Here, try this: just pretend she was Ukrainian."

She cocked her head for a minute, then said, "Hey, that works! Let's go see a movie."

This dude sits down next to me and says, ”Chocolate ice cream is best!”

He says it like it’s supposed to mean something. I could care less so he repeats it only more emphatically, getting right in my face.

Entitled 16th century Spaniards traverse the Amazon jungle, driven by greed, consumed by starvation and Indian attacks. 

 

No one resists the insane leader and pursuit of lost cities of gold. Instead of acceding to reality, they cling to deadly illusion. This is us!

Standing in the office manacled to my laptop in my business casual clothes sneaking a stare at her working, I was going out of my mind.

Explosions ripped through me inside, every impulse raging to be set free.

In a desert life the pull to grab her hand and run out like children unbothered overwhelmed me as I struggled to maintain office decorum.

A dream just out of reach, a glimpse into the promised land, dormant desires awakened.

Then she flew back to the home office, missed forever.

He was in prayer, kneeling before the burning incense. He did not turn to look at me yet I felt his eyes upon me as he said, “Now you’re enlightened.”
