Bond didn't notice the empty cigarette package (a classic tradecraft drop), nor the waiting car with its lights on, nor apparently anything else as he drove his car out the dank parking garage.
But, of course, he saw it all. He ruminated in his mind the various scenarios. Coincidence? Amateurs? Pros making it obvious to deflect? He even debated circling back.
Few miles down the road Bond came to his senses with a recriminating sigh. "I'm bloody well bored, I am," he declared in half a whisper.
