The two elderly women were so polite.
"Sorry to bother you, Mr. Maher. Thank you for waiting! Could you come with us, please?"
"Yes, of course. You know, my always-outraged fellow Jews are so busy demonizing people such as yourself it just makes me sad. If only they could see how kind you truly are."
"Bless you for saying so!"
"And isn't unity wonderful! Our leader has everyone on the same page."
"Latest polls have him at 90%! Now, if you'll just step into the chamber we'll turn the dial."

Turns out Mr. Maher is an optimist: “Yes. And I liked him – I like them all [right-wingers]. They’re all nice people when you meet them in person. Nobody’s as crazy as they’re made out to be,” Maher said, stressing that both sides must take responsibility for their own extremists if political violence is to be stopped.
